Basic Training on Hotel Services – Course Number (1/2018)organized by the Hoteliers Association (Northen Shan State) under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, had been opened from 4th to 29th June 2018 in order to improve service standards of hotels and resorts in northen Shan State; to create job opportunities for young local people;and to support human resource development in hotels and tourism industry of the state. The completion ceremony of the training was held at 9:00 am on 29th June 2018 in Lashio Motel Hall, Lashio.
Deputy Director U Thet Lin from Lashio Branch Office from the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism gave a course completion speech. He said that hotels and resorts from the northen Shan State should implement for the improvement of service standards;to implement for achieving market share by discovering new destinations to enable the visitors to come and visit; that hoteliers and hotel staffs should develop more benefits by attracting visitors and by maintaining the services standards relying on each other; and that the trainees should apply the methods and techniques learned in the workplace.
Then awards were given to the outstanding students, trainers and the certificate of honour to the supporters. U ZawZaw, Chairman of the Hotelier Association (Northen Shan State) gave a closing speech for the ceremony. He said that hotel service courses were successfully held under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism; courses were also given in Muse and will be given in Hsipaw. Then he closed the ceremony by saying thanks to the people who supported for the course and by saying that we need to perform for the development of the region with unity.
Staffs from the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism and Lashio Branch Office, accountable persons from the Hoteliers Association (Northern Shan State), hoteliers, trainees and the persons invited, totally (90)people attended the Completion Ceremony of the Basic Training on Hotel Services – Course Number (1/2018). There were (45) trainees the hospitality course and (29) trainees at the housekeeping course and totally (74) trainees completed the course.
