Visa Exemption will be granted for Japan, South Korea, Macao and Hong Kong Tourists who hold ordinary passports
Tourists from Japan, South Korea, Macao and Hong Kong for those who are holding the Ordinary Passports are allowed Visa Exemption within one appointed year, effected from 1st October 2018 to 30th September 2019.
They are allowed to enter Myanmar through International Gateways such as Yangon international Airport, Mandalay International Airport, Nay Pyi Taw International Airport and Yangon International Seaport as well as through Myanmar-Thailand Land Border Checkpoints: Tachileik, Myawady, Kawthaung, Htee Kee, and Myanmar-India Land Border Checkpoints: Tamu and Rikhawdar.
It is allowed only Tourist Visa for the purpose of visit.
It is allowed for tourists who are from Japan, South Korea, Macao and Hong Kong, holding the Ordinary Passports to enter Myanmar and stay (30) days. It is not allowed for the Visa extension.
The tourists who are from Japan, South Korea, Macao and Hong Kong holding the Ordinary Passports –
must obey the Myanmar’s existing law and procedures.
can visit around the permitted areas freely except from the restricted areas within the country.
can be rejected the entry permit if the tourist is not allowed by the immigration and related ministries and departments.
