International Tourists arrivals through Tachileik Gateway

Most of the attention on international arrivals to Myanmar is centered around the International Airports at Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw. However, there are large numbers arrive at our border gates which deserve attention.
For instance, at the Tachileik Entrance Gateway, in Shan State, from the 1st January to 27th June 2019there were 547,663 Thai visitors and 6,848 from other countries entered Myanmar.
Also, at the Thachileik Gateway, from 21st to 27th June 2019,there were 22,170 Thai touristswho arrived for day tripsand 281from other countries.
On a typical daytrip, they visited Talout Market in Tachileik, Bayinnaung Statue, MahamuniPayagyi,Wunkaung Market, Komyoshin Nat, Shwedagon Pagoda,MyolaeDamaryone,Padaung Village, Nagar NgakaungSayardawkyaung, KyounyinMaeDaw and Chinese Temple, Kyauktan Market.
Onan overnight trip,the main attractions were the Buddha Footprint Pagoda, Zaytankyi Monastery, Buddha Garden including Kyaing Ton, Mahamuni, HokoneKyaung, Mya Phaya, Kyaing Yin Monastery, WutInnKyaung, SontaungSedi, KyauksayiSedi, Yankone Monastery, ParlanKyaung, Yatumu, ThittapinTaung, Kabar Aye Saydi, Sanpya Yan Law Village, KoeHtut Waterfall near Kyattaung Village.
The visitors also travel to other destinations in Myanmar such as Heho, Yangon, Mandalay, Myitkyina and Lashio.
