Tourists are visiting with their own motors cars

Nay Pyi Taw, 8^th May 2019 One of the major roles of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is to provide our visitors with a safe and secure environment whilst they are in our country. This is one of our most important messages– Myanmar is a safe place to visit. Recently Myanmar has seen an increase in the number of visitors arriving by their own cars, especially from Thailand. This form of visitation is known as Caravan Tours. One such group was managed by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism in conjunction with Myanmar Mystery Land Co Ltd, which arranged for 49 Thai visitors to use their own cars to travel about Myanmar. During their visit to Myanmar thegroup, entered through the Border Gatewayat Htee Khee, in Southern Myanmar. The group then visited many varied and interesting destinations including Dawei, Mawlamyine, Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw, Bagan,Mandalay, Inle, Nansam-Kyaing and departed Myanmar at Tachileik Border Gateway in the Shan State.   By all reports and feed back from the group, their time in Myanmar was most enjoyable and interesting, however the main point they raised was how comfortable and safe they felt whilsttravelling around.
