Buddhists worship and cherish the Buddha image in the pagoda. The Buddha image is the only golden spectacled Buddha image.

Every March, Buddhists all over the world gather to pay tribute to the Buddha image in the pagoda located in Shwetaung, Bago Region. The Buddha is famous for its unique feature in which it is the only golden spectacled Buddha image. Tourists can find products of Pyay, Myanmar’s prominent commercial trading centre like traditional crafts in this festival. The festival would cause the area to be busy and packed with people, but the special celebration only attracts more tourists to come and witness the Buddha image that is worshipped and loved by devotees.
