Hotels Star Rating coordinated meeting held at Kaw Thaung Region

29-4-2019, Nay Pyi Taw As part of a visit to Myanmar, in relation to the new Hotel Star Rating System, by Dr Dimiris Koutalas from the UN World Tourism Organisation a visit was organised to Kaung Thaung in the Thaninthary region to view hotel facilities. Dr Koutalas was accompanied byU Nyo Aye, Director from the Directorate of Hotel & Tourism (Thanintharyi Branch) and members of theMyanmar Hoteliers Association where they inspected -rooms set up,housekeeping methods, landscaping, specialty areas such as ball rooms, spa/swimming pools and hotel construction. The next day, in the morning, the group examined the rooms and buildings of the Grand Andaman Resort on Thahtay Island, Kaw Thaung Town. and later that day, they also met hoteliers and guest house owners at the Victoria Cliff Hotelto advise them about the new Hotel Star Rating programme.
