Nwe Nyein Village

Shwebo District Aim to develop a Community Based Tourism in Nwe Nyein Village, Kyauk Myaung Township. Nwe Nyein village, which will be based by foreign tourists, is located in Shwebo District. The Irrawaddy Bridge (Sint Ku) is located 56 miles from Mandalay, adjacent to Kyauk Myaung. In Mandalay, foreign tourists take a boat trip to the upper reaches of the Ayeyarwaddy River to watch the weaving business. Foreign tourists aboard the boats descending from the upper Ayeyarwaddy River take a look at Nwe Nyein Village (west bank of the Irrawaddy River) and return. Nwe Nyein Village in Kyauk Myaung Township has 576 houses; It has a population of over 3,200.U Aung Zeya, the late King of Burma, who established the Third Burmese Empire in 1115 A.D., brought in the Ta Laing people and trained the villagers in Nwe Nyein village. On the east bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River, it takes 56 miles to reach Mandalay – Sint Ku by car and takes 2:30 hours. Zalontaung

Community-based tourism in Zalondaung area, Sagaing Region Katha District 8 acres in the state-owned project area near the old village of Pe Mane, 5 miles from the road from Bhamouk to Zalondaung. It is established in the place designated by the township chiefs. To start tourism development in Zalondaung area, 200,000 per village; three hundred and sixty thousand villages and three villages agreed to work on a voluntary basis. Land clearing from (1.10.2016) Cutting the bamboo needed to build buildings; Initial start-up capital. several times,  A committee was formed with local people selected from three villages to implement the C.B.T process. Financial and income expenditure accounting system; Systems such as calculating and accounting for the value of C.B.T assets and existing buildings; C.B.T’s policy is to improve rural livelihoods; To cherishand preserve the natural water, forest and mountains. Value and revitalization of traditions and culture; Creating employment opportunities; It is designed for regional development, such as increasing family income and developing knowledge. In successfully implementing the C.B.T (Zalontaung) process, the relevant townships, District Departments in the Region Representatives of the Region Hluttaw; In consultation with the Pyithu Hluttaw representatives, traditional procedures and customs were set up to suit the local conditions. The capital fund from 3 villages is 60 lakh kyats and it is not enough according to the business needs. The project budget was implemented with a total of 106 lakh kyats as 30 lakh kyats was borrowed from the township general / administrative fund at a reasonable interest rate. The villages in this area are traditional farming; Planting beans; hunting for many years and has found new jobs in the C.B.T project. Gaining knowledge; Increased family income There is a desire to preserve this mountain. There will be many benefits, such as careful preservation of our culture.

In Daung

Village-based tourism started in October 2014 with the first six Irrawaddy Dolphin Conservation Villages. Indaung Village and Ywa Thit Village, Wetlet Township. Seven villages were established in eight villages. Population Occupation Income Places to visit Handicraft manufacturing; Survey of ancient pagodas and monasteries; To welcome foreign and domestic tourists, local meat, fish and vegetables are available. Discussing vegetables and fruits with local people; Tourist days from tourists; Food Surveys and consultations were conducted on accommodation and daily expenses. Ministry of Hotels and Tourism A meeting was held with officials from the Livestock and Poultry Conservation Group and local people from the Department of Fisheries. The following services are being provided in the villages. (1) Irrawaddy Dolphin and Letpikon Fishermen Joint Fishing Exhibition Team; (2) Catering team; (3) Village guidance team; (4) ‌ Village Craft Training Group; It was formed by (5) ox cart transport team and (6) handicraft sales team. The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism provided training on cooking and services required for cooking and feeding in eight villages. Guests were also trained on safety and avoidance. C.B.T members were trained by fishermen from 8 villages; From 2015 to 2020, it is working with 352 members from 8 villages. Unity of members; In December 2018, the MRTI awarded The Best Community Involvement In Tourism Award for its local employment and income and village income fund.In 2019,a community-run hostel was built. In 2019, the Dolphin Shelter was opened.

 

Nwe Nyein

In Nwe Nyein, Shwe Gon, Shwe Htike, Ma La, and Ma Khauk villages, the tourists can observe  ceramic ware and glazed earthen jars pottery making business that has started from the time of Aung Zeya Kone Baung Dynasty, the founding king of the Third Burmese Empire. You can participate in pottery-making and local agriculture and also learn weaving business in Ma Khauk village.

 Zalontaung

Zalontaung CBT site comprises three villages- Kamoe, Nyaung thar yar and Ko pyin. You can enjoy making Kadu ethnic people’s food, glutinous rice. Besides, you can also try making traditional bamboo handicrafts with the locals, engaging in agricultural activities such as seed cultivation with the locals, learning Kadu ethnic people’s customs, and enjoying the traditional dances. Also, you can explore the splendid view of nature around the Zalontaung.

In Daung         

Sagaing Region In Indaung and Ywa Thit Village, Wetlet Township, Shwebo District, the Irrawaddy dolphin and  the only Burmese in the world for many years, has been involved in community-based tourism in many parts of the country. Foreign tourists visit. In 2005, the 72-kilometer-long section of the Irrawaddy River between Mandalay and Kyauk Myaung was designated as the Irrawaddy Dolphin Conservation Area by the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. Traditional handicrafts include pottery and weaving. Foreign tourists try it for themselves. Visit to pulses production with oil mill; Bird watching at Ye Myat Gyi Inn and Kyaukphyu Inn near Indaung (CBT) Site. Tourists enjoy cycling, biking and fishing. There are some walks and cooking with the locals. Tree planting can also be done together. He also visited the Kyun Pin Meditation Center. You can also stay at the Dolphin Sanctuary for meditation.

Nwe Nyein

Shwebo District Based in Kyauk Myaung Township (Nwe Nyein, Shwe Gun, Shwe Htike, Ma Lar, Ma Khauk) villages, Nwe Nyein community-based tourism is being implemented. Near Nwe Nyein Village, In Shwe Gon, Shwe Htike ,Ma Lar can see the weaving industry in those villages and the weaving industry in Ma Khauk village. There are palm trees growing naturally near Nwe Nyein village and foreign tourists can see the availability of palm sap. You can also see the antiquities inside the monastery in Kyauk Myaung. From Nwe Nyein Village, you can visit the ancient Yedaw Pagoda in Kyauk Myaung or Sint Kue. It is about 20 minutes by car from the road to Shwe Mulaw Pagoda and about 10 minutes from the waterway by crossing the Sinku Bridge. You can also visit Shwebo, founded by the late King U Aung Zeya, the founder of the Third Burmese Empire. Shwebo is knowns as a city with five names. In Shwebo, there is a corner pagoda. Shwe Chak Tho Pagoda There are Shwe Kan Thar Pagodas and you can also visit Mahananda Lake. U Aung Zeya Palace The old royal walls; Ditches can also be visited.

Zalontaung

Zalondaung Community-Based Tourism is located in Katha District, Sagaing Region. It is located on the bank of Panmami Mountain, 5 miles from Bhamouk. Community-based tourism in Zalondaung area Nyaung Thar Yar .It consists of 3 villages such as Kho Pyin. o learn about the customs of the Kadu people living in three villages near the Zalontaung (CBT) camp. Shops are selling traditional bamboo handicrafts; Kadu traditional clothes; Kadu people perform traditional dances. You can visit to learn about Kadu food. Kadu people live in Sattaw village, 3 miles from Bhamouk town, and you can see their way of life. Along the way to Zalun Mountain, you can see long-tailed monkeys without a tail, and you can hear the cries of monkeys when you drive. You can also visit Indawgyi from Zalondaung. The number of domestic pilgrims to the famous Zalondaung area is increasing year by year.

Sagaing Region Shwebo District Indaung and Ywa Thit Village Community-Based Tourism in Wetlet Township is a 60-minute visit to Myanmar’s first jungle sanctuary. You can also visit Ywa Thit Village, a pottery village near Indaung village, and weaving business from Indaung village. You can also visit algae-eating seabirds (eg, waterfowl, vultures) and wintering birds. 20 minutes drive from Indochina CBT, you can reach Shimmaka Model Village and Market and take a tour of the market. You can also visit Shimmaka Ywa Thit Village from Indaung CBT near Ywa Thit Village. Amd also can visit Shwe Taung Maw Oo Pagoda built by King Alaung Si Thu in 15 minutes by water. One hour and 20 minutes drive from Indaung CBT to Ye Myat Gyi Inn. You can also visit Kyaung Phyu Inn in 45 minutes. And then you can visit Hanlin Old Town in 1 hour and 30 minutes from Wetlet. It can be reached in 60 minutes by water from Indong CBT to Kyun Pin Meditation Camp by water and about 2 hours by land.

If you come by motorbike, it will take about 14 minutes. Mandalay-Shwebo-Kyaukmyaung-Nwe Nyein Village is 87 miles away, so it will take about 3 hours by car from Mandalay. By car from Mandalay-Sint Kue (East bank of Ayeyarwady River) road, it is 56 miles and takes 2:30 hours. In Mandalay, foreign tourists take a boat trip to the upper reaches of the Ayeyarwaddy River to watch the weaving business. The foreign tourists aboard the boats descending from the upper Ayeyarwaddy River take a stop at Nwe Nyein Village (west bank of the Irrawaddy River) and return. By road, it can be connected to Mandalay-Shwebo-Hanlin (Pyu) Archaeological Site. It is also a popular tourist destination as it is connected to Mandalay-Mingun area by waterway along the Ayeyarwaddy River.

Zalontaung

Zalondaung Community-Based Tourism is located in Sagaing Region, Katha District. It is located on the bank of Panmami Mountain, 5 miles from Bhamouk. Zalontaung Community-Based Tourism Group was established in Katha District, Sagaing Region. Near the foot of Zalon Mountain in Bhamouk Township it consists of 3 villages such as Kha Moe , Nyaung Thar Yar and Kho Pyin. Katha District, Zalontaung Community-Based Tourism Motor vehicles from Bhamouk If you come by motorbike, it will take about 30 minutes. Shwe Bo From Indaw on Myitkyina Road, it is about 33 miles and takes about 2 hours. Zalontaung, about 9 miles from Zalontaung Community-Based Tourism; You can go to the Cat Shark Mountains and see the Kadu people living in Khamo, Nyaung Thar Yar He went to Kho Pyin villages to learn about the customs and traditions of the Kadu people. You can learn about the traditional bamboo handicrafts of the Kadu people.You can drive from Madara-Thabeik Kyin to Indaw Bhamouk or by car to Mandalay-Shwebo-Htee Chaing-Bhamouk. You can also look forward to the statue of Manla Sayadaw Buddha. Arrive at Indaw in Katha District and visit the Japanese-era underground hospital in Indaw.
