SUSPENDING THE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT OF CHINESE VISITORS TO MYANMAR NayPyi Taw, February 19th
  1. The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been focusing on developing the Tourism sectorin Myanmar andoffering safe and secure travel experience to travelers.
  2. Currently, the visa on arrival for the visitors from the People Republic of China have been suspended and the travel arrangement of Myanmar to China and China to Myanmar have been suspended temporarily due to the outbreak of (COVID-19) Acute Respiratory Disease spread from Wuhan, China.
  3. Visitors from China who will apply e-Visa (tourist) are also necessary to fill up the Medical Certificate form issued by Ministry of Health and Sport completely.
  4. It is also suggested to prioritize the safety and security of the people first, although the tourists from China with e-Visa, who have already received the permissions to enter Myanmar are requested to arrange the scheduled trip. Besides, please be advised that, tour operators, travel companies and tour guides have to suspend temporarily the arrangement of Chinese tour program referring the instructions of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism related to COVID 19 and the Emergency Notice on Prevention and Control of Coronavirus Infections and Suspending the Business Activities of Tourism Enterprises [2020] No.29 of General Office of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China if necessary.
