Travel Advisory (15) for COVID -19

Advise to Travel Agencies and Tour Companies providing services to the visitors from the Republic of Korea, Italy and Iran entering Myanmar by Air to understand and cooperate on the monitoring process of COVID-19 Nay Pyi Taw, March 12 Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been trying its best in developing sustainable tourism in Myanmar and providing visitors a safe and secure travel experience. Currently, the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 is increasing in countries worldwide, especially in the Republic of Korea, Italy, and Iran. There are approximately 6000 and above confirmed cases of COVID-19 in these countries. As per discussion and coordination of the Central Committee for Prevention, Containment and Treatment of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)and the responsible personnel from the related ministries, the visitors from the above-mentioned countries will be allowed with Certificate of having tested Negative for COVID-19 for the protection of the spread of COVID-19 in Myanmar by respective airlines to enter Myanmar. Therefore, tourism stakeholders including Travel Agencies and Tour Companies providing services to the visitors from these countries are requested to cooperate and comply with the instructions.
