Travel Advisory (23) Advice to international travelers to be aware of and follow the health care guidelines when visiting Myanmar

Nay Pyi Taw, 3^rd June   The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been implementing development of sustainable tourism and supporting safe and secure destinations for convenience of travelers in Myanmar. According to the meeting resolution of National Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment on COVID-19, it is instructed that when foreigners come to Myanmar for purposes such as projects, businesses, constructions and official matters, Laboratory Evidence of Absence of COVID-19 Infection from their respective country and endorsement document for one week Home Quarantine in their country are required, and they need to stay one week Facility Quarantine in Myanmar. Afterwards, they will be tested with Nasal Swab, and only if the result shows negative, they have to stay one week Home Quarantine and then they can continue to work. Based on this guideline, foreigners hired by hotels and guest houses, travel agencies and tour operators need to follow the rules and regulations of health care guide lines mentioned above.
