Travel Advisory (8) for COVID – 19

Nay Pyi Taw, 27th January Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Myanmar is performing the duties and responsibilities aiming to enhance the sustainable development of Myanmar Tourism Sector by providing a safe and secure vacation to the visitors. From the time being, COVID-19 started from Wuhan, the People’s Republic of China is spreading in some countries around the world and thus, the Ministry of Health and Sports has released the notice that the visitors who come from Wuhan suffering from fever, coughing and breathing difficulties etc., which are similar symptoms of influenza, now or last 14 days or within 14 days after arrival to Myanmar must report to the Airport Health Care Centre or nearest Health Care Centre in order to receive free medical treatment. Even though the visitors from those regions do not have the suspected symptoms when they arrive, they may be getting infected while they are visiting Myanmar as the incubation period of COVID-19 disease is 14 days. Consequently, the virus can be transmitted through such infected persons to the others, therefore if you find out anyone who suffers from the said symptoms, please immediately report to the Ministry of Health and Sports via the mentioned contact numbers in order to be able to control the infection cases.
