International visitors arriving on own motor bikes

Nay Pyi Taw, 25^th April Among the many tasks performed by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is the facilitation of visits by international visitors using their own vehicles.  Known as Caravan Tours, these tours, either with motor vehicles or motor bikes, can be overland from a boarding country through one of our Border Gateways or picking up their chosen transport when they arrive in Myanmar.   Recently a group from Sweden, visited Myanmar with their own motor bikes. The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, in conjunction with Kaung Hein Shwe International Co Ltd organised the tour across the central part of Myanmar. The groupentered through Tamu Border Gateway from India and then went on to visitwell known spots such as Bagan, Inle, the eastern Shan state and departed Myanmar across the border at Tachileik Border Gateway into Thailand. In this case the group brought their own bikes and Myanmar was part of their tour to Asia. Now is a great time to visit Myanmar as the country opens up to all form of visitors.
